That’s what my colleague asked me the other day when we were in a really deep conversation about getting older etc. Was a pretty good question for me and what I thought at first was, well, most of just take care of your skin meaning using a good hydration cream and eating well. But then at night, I had to look up more about ways of keeping your skin healthy and ‘young’ and here I am, sharing some tips with you, many things you can do on your own and not require a visit to the dermatologist.
- If you’re a smoker, just STOP IT.
There are studies confirming that cigarette smoke ages skin, mostly by releasing an enzyme that breaks down collagen and elastin, very important components of our skin.
When we don’t get enough sleep, our bodies produce excess cortisol, a hormone that breaks down skin cells. Get over eight hours of sleep each night and you’ll produce more human growth hormone (HGH) which keeps skin remain thick and elastic. Keep in mind that sleeping on your back it’s one of the best position for reducing the ‘sleep lines’.
Avoiding the sun it’s the best thing you can do for your skin because it’s the no.1 enemy. If you really love the sun and beach days, then you can easily wear a good sunscreen. Protects our skin from cancer and help prevent wrinkles at the same time.
Most of the cold-water fish it’s a really great source of protein -one of the building blocks of great skin-and also a source of essential omega-3. Really important in our diet are the fresh fruits and vegetables. The antioxidants compounds fight damage caused by free radicals and help skin look younger and radiant.
These could be the easiest way to keep your skin look young and radiant, and some good moisturizer, of course.

It’s 9am and I hate the sound of the alarm …it’s so early..I think .This happens every morning,it’s hard for me sometimes to get out of the cozy bed where Muffy sleeps so peacefully.I drag my feet to the kitchen and I am hoping for a good cup of coffee.
One of the things I do in the morning is washing my face with dead sea mud soap but lately ,I’ve used a new cleanser .It’s called DETOXIFYING CITRUS C from Benevita , which promises to soften and strengthen the skin, to detoxify, protect and energize .What I really love about it’s that smells incredible (I remember that’s what I thought when I open it) and the fact that is PARABENS FREE !
